Maybe toss in a Powell and Ariza swap?

I think I’ll have a better grasp on if I’d be happy with this after the bubble. Reports are that Little has been working hard and looks 10x better. And if Trent can sustain his play, he’s a starter somewhere.

Actually, I think Portland would be much better off trying to go just get Siakam without including Phili.

Something like Ariza, Collins, (Simons or Trent), Little, and two firsts for Siakam. Toronto avoids the bad contract, and gets just as much young talent.

Without McCollum, I’m not sure that Portland team is really a lot better than they are now. But having all 4 of those guys together (including Nurkic), they’re absolutely in the top tier of the league.

Siakam is a bad contract?
We are a team in playoff contention. No use trading Siakam unless we get a top 10 potential player.

Horford is the bad contract. Bmiller would cut Philly, so Toronto doesn't take the bad contract.

Siakam would make them more versatile on offense and better on defense, so a Siakam for McCollum swap would make them better. Little and Trent togehter could replace McCollum's scoring abilitys, and McCollum isn't a great defender. Siakam is good on both sides. That Portland team would be scary.

Saying Little and Trent can replace McCollum’s offensive production really downplays how good he is offensively. Little hasn’t proven he can stay on the floor in the NBA. Trent has played 20 good games in his career. Hitching your wagon to those two is dangerous. McCollum is one of the 20-30 best offensive players in the league.

Also, you just need 3 stars. Two isn’t enough.

And I think Portland has the assets to get Siakam without including McCollum. If they can, it’s by far the better option.

But yes, Siakam isn’t the bad contract, Horford is.

Portland will have to include McCollum to get siakam end of discussion. They do not have the assets to get siakam without cj or dame.

3 young guys, multiple firsts, and expiring contracts seems like the perfect package for Siakam if Toronto looks to move him.

Is Thybulle and two late firsts worth a lot more than Little and (Simons or Trent)? I really don’t think so. More, but marginally more.

there's only one player that Masai would consider trading Siakim for, and even then, he really wants to put them together. Giannis. No sense even talking about SpicyP trades unless and until Giannis signs his extension.

The first will be horrible picks ad none those young players has superstar potential not even all star so it’s a no deal. There just way better deals out there with an higher end asset.
