Cant wait for BMiller's FU response.

Who becomes Portland’s PG?

05 Aug 2020 17:41:29
So Simmons is worth a lottery pick, or less? 2 firsts and a terrible contract. what a steal for gsw.

I didn’t notice McCollum in there at first and I didn’t like the return for just Lillard.

Ok, fine, full Blazer homer breakdown:

McCollum = Brown

Before any Boston fan complains about that, know that fans of both teams would want an asset to swap those two. If Boston offered a straight swap, I’d want a first from Boston too.

Wiggins, Bucks first, Boston 2020 first = nothing.

The picks negate his negative value. There might still be a little negative value left.

So Portland ends up with:

Lillard = 1st pick and two future Boston firsts?

That’s a light return to say the least. If he had declined his extension, this might be ok. But he’s got 5 years on his contract and is happy in Portland.

I also don’t like it for Phili. Simmons is very underrated by a lot of fans and he’s still very young.

* i forgot the Minny 2021 pick

And Portland could use the bucks, Memphis and/ or boston pick to move up in the draft with their own pick (4 picks for a lottery pick)

So imagine
The GS pick becomes the first pick and they trade the other picks for a top 6 lottery pick.

they draft Edwards
And with the other pick can they draft Wiseman, Toppin, Okongwu, Hayes or Ball

Portland:
C:Nurkic
PF:Collins
SF:J Brown
SG:Edwards
PG:Hayes.

that's not a bad team for a rebuilt?
and they have flexibel assets for the next 4 years.
They propably have 2 lottery picks in 2021
two first round picks in 2022
one first rounder in 2023
And two first round picks in 2024.

Bmiller, times have changed Wiggins has different value since the beginning of the szn. For a team who wants to blow it up who has cap space, he would be worth taking a chance on. I am going to venture to say that Wiggins + 1 second = nothing given he's still young.

Would love Lilliard and McCollum in the East bc they kill the Thunder but no chance of that happening.
