The Pelicans give up too much.

It seems like there's a lot of interest in the #2 pick so I assumed any team would have to overpay some to get it.
Also, I used the 2021 1st rd'er because GSW doesn't have one next year
How would you adjust it to balance it better?

Gsw have 2 first round picks next year. Own pick and wolves.

That was my mistake, I was looking at Miami at the time! Ugh!

4 1sts( 2 2019) and 2 2020 and Holiday to get Wiggins and the #2?
That is beyond way too much

I like how you count past picks as “firsts†but ignore Paschall as one.
Also, it’s one first and one second. Not two firsts.
I don’t see how this is way too much. Seems pretty fair to me. You could remove Paschall, the second, and Hayes and it would still be good.

Continued over-valuation of Wiggins.

The top of this draft isn’t good and it looks like 1 and 2 are on the table for the right package. Wiggins is a net negative. I just don’t see anyone giving up a handful of young assets to get the 2 pick. The Pelicans in particularly are ready to win now. I don’t see why they would give up Holiday unless they were getting a really good deal. Wiggins and the 2 for Holiday is somewhat interesting to me but even that I don’t think is a no brainer for NO.

The smart thing for teams at the top of this draft to do is to trade down and/ or get more picks in this or future drafts. There are gems to be had later in the draft. Look at OKC. They drafted a starter next year at PF in Bazely way late and signed another starter who wasn't even drafted in Dort who is defensively elite already.
