Umm. Anthony Davis is a free agent and you can’t sign and trade while adding other players in addition. That would be enough of a reason for the first trade not to happen but the return is not enough for AD, therefore making the trade even more unrealistic.
I do have to admit that the Dame-AD-Nurkic trio would be pretty nice.

If AD decided to leave and said he wanted to go to Portland, the Lakers would probably take a straight AD for McCollum swap. It’s better than losing him for nothing.

Nope, this trade only makes sense if the Lakers get Dame, not CJ. If they wanted a talented shooting SG, they would go for Beal.
