Memphis goes all in to get some more scoring help

Grizzlies - Oladipo
Pacers - Brooks and Winslow

(Pacers trade Turner for Ball and 13th)
Ball/Brogdon/Brooks/Warren/Sabonis
Or
Ball/Brogdon/Warren/Winslow/Sabonis
- Pacers use 13th on Achuiwa or Jalen Smith

Grizzlies - Wiggins
Warriors - Valanciunas and Jones

- Warriors get 2 shorter deals and can trade a couple spots to get more depth and draft Avdija

Curry/Thompson/Avdija/Green/Valanciunas

Morant
Oladipo
Wiggins
Clarke
JJJ

- Has 3 20 capable scorers and still has great defense on the floor.

Why would Memphis do either of those trades? Why take a chance on Oladipo when he can leave after one year? And why trade for Wiggins? His contract is terrible.

Obviously I’m making the trade assuming he will resign. Wiggins is young and Memphis can pay him with Morant Clarke and JJJ on rookie deals for multiple years.

I can see taking a shot at Oladipo, but Wiggins is a 6th man on a max deal.

I agree that Wiggins is overpaid. I just think Memphis can use him and afford him. They could use another scorer that can drop 20 a game. Oladipo and Wiggins can be 2/ 3 options while JJJ can just play a Bosh role when he returns healthy. Wiggins will be expired by the time they need to pay JJJ.

Wiggins is a massive risk, but definetly a guy with upside worth the gamble.

Or you can have money to add free agents. Wiggins doesn’t help teams win. He can fill one limited role on. team that needs another offensive creator. JV fills a very similar role and does it more efficiently.

I don't think Brooks and Winslow gets you Oladipo. You probably have to add a first.

If Oladipo makes it clear he won’t resign Brooks and Winslow is great value. Both young players that the Pacers can develop.

I like both Brooks and Winslow but if you are the Pacers I think you negotiate to get B. Clarke also. I really like his upside and his hussle. A Front court with He and Sabonis could solve their rebounding issues while still being able to get out and run. Winslow would be a great addition to the bench.
