3 Team Trade Mavs - Pels - 76ers

Mavs get:

Al Horford 27,5 M
Matisse Thybulle 2,7 M
Jrue Holiday 25,3 M
Josh Hart 3,4 M

Mavs give up depth and take on longterm salary to add a 3rd option and Defense.

Pels get:

Josh Richardson 10,8 M
Maxi Kleber 8,2 M
Delon Wright 9 M
Jalen Brunson 1,6 M

Pels cash in on Jrue and get a bunch of good Roleplayers on decent contracts.

76ers:

Tim Hardaway Jr. 18,9 M (Opt in/ expiring)
Dwight Powell 11 M
Seth Curry 7,8 M
Justin Jackson 5 M (expiring)

76ers get rid of the Horfordcontract and add the shooting they need around Simmons and Embiid.

What do you think? Who says no? Which team has to add picks?

It's my first trade proposal, so be kind. 😉.

I think the Pels can get more for Holiday.

I actually think this is a solid trade for the Pels. I would hate to see them lose Hart but they get back the pieces they need to build around Zion, Zo and Ingram.

I don't think the money works. There are sites, like real gm, you can go to that will let you know if a trade is within the rules. When trading salaries, the money going out and coming in have usually have to be pretty close. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback!

Tradenba says the money works. Checked this before posting. Out- and incoming salaries of each team are pretty close.

Also wasn't sure, if the Pels get enough out of Jrue, but I like the fit of Kleber. And I'm sure Pels know his value, since Maxi looked great defending Zion.

Perhaps the 76ers should add some picks to unload Horford?

I just don’t think this helps Philly. What’s the point of getting off Horford, if you’re not getting better.

I don't like it for the Pels

Won't say it makes them better. But at least more flexible.

I'd bet Sixers would love Seth and a tryout on THJ. If they'll keep Simmons and Embiid, you'll need shooting around them. And even if they don't see them as an direct upgrade, it's still 24 M expiring money.

Maybe I'm underestimating the value of Thybulle, but Horford and J-Rich didn't worked out for them. Seth and THJ maybe will.

Saving tens of millions of dollars is the point of getting rid of Horford. There's no way that owner isn't getting rid of contracts after their first round exit. Philly could save $70 million+ in salary/ tax and still make the playoffs in the East, easy, simply by trading two of those massive contracts away (with picks and/ or young players) . Philly went all in and it failed. Time to fix that mistake.
