Saw this trade on Bleacher Report and like it a lot for all parties.

Houston receives: Ben Simmons, Julius Randle, Mike Scott, Wayne Ellington, Dennis Smith Jr.

Philadelphia receives: James Harden

New York receives: Russell Westbrook

Literally just copied and pasted it from the Bleacher Report article I read. If anything I think maybe the Knicks should throw in a 2nd round pick or two to the Rockets because they're not giving up very much other than salary relief for Westbrook and he is still a productive player but his trade value has definitely taken a hit so I don't feel this is too far off. I also think Houston is the perfect fit for Simmons and Philadelphia is the perfect for for Harden.

horrible for Rockets.

Why do you feel that way shizee? I feel like the Rockets can’t expect to get much for Westbrook with his contract especially when he can’t shoot in this 3 point driven league. As for Harden, I feel like Simmons is a great snag. He is already NBA proven unlike a lottery pick that could be a bust. He is at the very least an All-NBA defender and an exceptional passer. He is far younger than Harden and makes way less. Also not having Embiid clogging up the middle and dominating the ball might unleash his offensive game. And with the money they’re saving from the Harden and Westbrook contracts they could potentially add another younger superstar in a year or two. Preferably one that can shoot to complement Simmons. I feel like this gives the Rockets a great chance to reset, shed salary, get younger, still have a Superstar, all while staying competitive with a chance at a quick turnaround to being a serious contender again. LeBron is 35 so he won’t be around forever which could open up another window of opportunity in the West. And the Warriors core of Steph, Klay, and Draymond are no spring chickens either.

where are the picks.

On Top26, I don’t disagree that there should be picks involved. As I stated I just copied and pasted this idea from a Bleacher Report article because I liked the basis of it. I don’t disagree that it may need some tweaking. Who do you believe should be giving and receiving picks?

If Houston unloads Harden and Westbrook, they will be in 100% rebuild mode. With that said, Simmons is the only worthwhile rebuild asset coming to them. The others are salary matching filler of players the Knicks and 76ers would love to shed. Need to separate into two trades for Houston to realize solid value.

Embiid and Richardson for harden.

The frame work is fine, but the Rockets need more for Harden.
