Thunder get Kemba Walker and Gordon Hayward (opt-in)

Celtics get Chris Paul and Steven Adams

The Thunder want to get younger and free up cap space. This trade accomplishes both. Hayward's massive expiring contract will open the books for the Thunder in 2021, and Kemba is much younger than CP3. Kemba should thrive as a number one option and can be traded down the line for more assets.

Kemba had a great season in Boston, but I think that they'd be better off with a pass first guard like CP3 to truly complement Tatum. Adams can be the big man they desperately needed against Bam Abedayo. CP3/Smart/Brown/Tatum/Adams looks like a squad that can run the East.

kemba has more value than cp3. age contract etc.

hayward has more value than adams. hayward is making a lot of money but he can be more helpfull than adams.

Not bad trade, but I think Thunder would do better with picks and/ or rookie contracts v. two oft-injured, big-contract veterans.
