Gsw can't sign Grant. They only have taxpayer mle which is less than 6 million. Grant can find easily 15 million per year.

Whiteside is a free agent. And I can’t see Orlando giving him 3 guaranteed years in a S&T. But you could swap Ariza in instead.

why can't GSW use the Iguadola TPE to sign Grant? . I agree he'll probably get more than 12M, but if he wants to pay on a contender for still decent money then it's possible.

that's the whole point of a trade exception. to be able to go over the cap. in the new league year they won't be hardcapped like last year when they took russell on a sign and trade. if the hard cap goes then they can use the TPE to sign Grant and exceed the cap.
