I love Markannen on Boston because he can also sub at 5 which makes Theis expendable. Bulls seem to want to dump Young.

Boston does not have the salary cap to take on the additional salary of Gordon or Markannen/ Young. Boston's new trade exception can not be used in this manner either.

Agree with Nightcap. The salary difference can be compensated with the TPE in this manner.

From what I understand, you can add players but you wouldn't be able to add their salary. For instance, a 28 mil TPE plus a 5 mil player still only gets you a 28 mil player back.
