Giannis wanted a trade and have a super max in Dallas. Mavs wanted only to sign him 4y max as a free agent. And Giannis wanted to be the 1st guy, but Mavs told him, he will play with Doncic in the lead.

To be honest, nice vision to get Giannis beside Luca but it would have been boring, since they would have one each and everything.

So Mavs will try to sign Collins 4y max or trade for:

Dallas gets Turner, Oladipo
Indiana gets Johnson, THJ and 1st

This sounds a lot like the fox who couldn't reach the grapes. After trying and trying he finally gave up and decided those grapes were probably sour anyway. I don't see the Hawks letting Collins walk, but stranger things have happened. Dallas gave up their assets to land Porzingus. I see them as a fringe playoff team for the foreseeable future, especially since Porzingus cannot seem to stay healthy.
