Do not think Drummond goes Nets or LA. He will look for money and a long term contract.

Unfortunatelly Celtics can offer him 11m for the rest of the season, by having that rest of a trade exception. Mavs only Minium, but all the money for a new contract starting next season.

Think Drummond fits in Boston and in Dallas.

Sign Drummond after buy out DAL/BOS

Drummond fits Knicks. Drummond to slow with for Boston and Mavs to slow with Drummond. Mavs need athletes around Porzingis and Luka. Boston need Aldridge or Horford.

Why would anyone offer more than min? Drummond was being paid max, anything he signs for replaces the salary he got in his original salary. He doesn’t make more money.

NBA16 Aldridge can play inside or outside is way quicker than Drummond. LaMarcus will show case his trueself once he gets into his old conditioning habits. Kind of like how Harden was out of shape, bc he didn't want to be in Houston.

@BMiller - player DOES make the money if offered more than minumum. Team that released him can only claim back the vet minumum off the salary cap when he signs, but the player keeps every penny they sign for.
After all the trades are accounted for there are only 3 teams (NYK, OKC, Charlotte) that are under the cap, so they are the only teams that can offer more than the pro-rated vet minimum to any free agent at this time.

Kings are under the cap by almost $5 mil.

Alao, lots of teams still have midlevel or bilevel exceptions which can be more than vey min.

@Fredman - you're right. I think Spotrac hasn't updated their summary page yet, because the detail page shows them at 105M, but the summary has them 5M above the cap.
And I forgot to consider exceptions. do any of the teams that are in contention have those to work with though?
