I know I'm in the minority, but I believe it's possible Clips are one and done in the playoffs. I don't trust George. Their supporting cast isn't amazing. They just scream pretender to me despite a good season from Kawhi.

If they do lose in the first round, I can see Kawhi opting to bounce and go to an eastern conference team in free agency. I am thinking Knicks. If that happens, Clips should trade PG.

I won't dispute the logic you begin with. I think they could end up with a pretty tough matchup in the first round if they end up in 3rd or 4th seed (Lakers anyone? )
But the Pacers would be incredibly stupid to give up those assets for a guy who dumped them before. A year later they'd be taking less back to get rid of him when he demands a trade.

I believe it would be a great deal for the Pacers. PG has Sabonis and Brogdon next to him which can be a real good big 3 especially in the East not to mention still have Warren Lamb and both Holidays. They could be a sneaky contender with that deal.

I hope Kawhi has enough loyalty to at least stay one more year. Kinda rubbishty to just destroy a franchise without at least putting in the full contract length.
