Also, wondering why Knicks are signing DeRozen and/ or Lowry at the expense of waiving the cap hold on being able to resign Derrick Rose for probably less than what DeRozen or Lowry would cost.

aside from being similar sizes derozan and barrett are not similar. Barrett shot 40% from 3 this year and is a scorer. derozan doesn't shoot 3's and is a playmaker/ creator who finishes well around the rim and in the mid range and sets up teammates.
