If Toronto did this deal we'd resign Lowry and have Kuzma and Trent fight for 5th starter/ 6th man roles. The LA pick would be 26, but by then they could be really bad (post LeBron) . Portland pick would be 23, and they'll still likely be good. LA is giving up the best player but getting back the 2 next best. Portland is getting the best player in the deal. the picks just aren't good enough to make up for the talent deficit for Toronto. maybe another young cheap (er) rotation player.
