Why wouldn’t they? They took a chance on Kawhi given his injury history (which he still has) and won a championship. Why wouldn’t they take another with a top 5/ 10 player? Would also help the chances of Lowry resigning.

If they could’ve gotten Mobley then maybe not.

There is a slight difference. When they got Kawhi, the Raptors were a championship caliber team. Not sure AD makes Toronto's current roster a championship contender.

@Darry. Over the years, AD has repeatedly stated his "displeasure" at playing the 5. Something about all the contact that happens in the key on both sides of the court.
