Sooooo. Allen is not worth the money that Brogdon got, but he is worth the draft capital in a trade that Brogdon got? Just not making sense to me.

I kinda feel like Charlotte says the following: Okay, Allen and Holmes. I have one $20 mil contract. First come, first served. Who is it going to be?

@NBA16. Generally, I would agree. However, Allen being a RFA makes it a little more interesting. Charlotte could offer Allen the contract on day 1 of FA, but they would have to wait until day 5 to actually have Allen sign the contract. Cleveland then has 2 day to decide to match the offer. so AT THE EARLIEST, Charlotte would know that they have Allen until Day 7 of FA. That give 7 days for Holmes NOT to sign a contract from say San Antonio or OKC (cap floor space still to use), so that Charlotte can make an offer after Cleveland matches the Allen offer.

So going with Allen first is "riskier".

Casual, Mobley is more 4 than 5. Go look at his comps and what draft experts have to say about him. He can put the ball on the floor, pass and there’s a lot of hope that he’ll be a good shooter with time.

No. NO from Cleveland. The Cavs got lucky when they landed Allen and have indicated they will keep him. This would get Altman run out of town quick.
