Schroeder to Dallas makes all the sense in the world and look for them to dump Hernangomez, but highly unlikely Boston would have any interest in Gordon or that they'll use that TPE before next offseason.

is gordon any better than schroeder? . and one more year at 20mm. i see no value on eric gordon.

Eric Gordon is a knockdown shooter and an underrated playmaker. He’s a lot better than Schroeder IMO. Besides, he’s a better fit alongside the Js, who need shooters around them more than they need scorers. In addition to that, the Celtics would be getting the underpaid Tate, who can step in Smart’s place in case he’s traded. Speaking of which, this trade with Houston would be even more interesting to the Celtics if they manage to subsequently trade Smart for a quality big (a PJ Whashington type) or a bigger wing (like a Harrison Barnes or a DeAndre Hunter), therefore offsetting the financial burden of Gordon’s contract while balancing out the roster.

Yea Gordon's a better fit despite the fact that celtics aren't winning and would be paying the tax to get knocked out in first round if they win the playin. Tates on a great contract and should move smart if they go this route. Why does Dallas want Dennis though that's the real question.

eric gordon has shot 32 percent form deep the last 2 years. imo. that is a far far better sample size than the 45 he's hitting this year. and he's 33.31-34 is the age omst guards can fall off a cliff. just look at currys numbers this year for an example. the celtics need a point guard. specifically 29 year old malcomlm brogdon.

6 fut 5 undrafted konchar getting 17, 9 and 14 rebounds in three of his last five games. has marcus smart ever recorded a 14 rebound game let alone a 19 in the same season? marcus smart is such an easy trade especially when he still has value.

if the celitcs don't use the TPE this season. then its another wasted brown/ tatum year. becuase they are going nowhere with marcus smart at the 1.
