DET-POR-PHI-ATL

Pistons get: De'Andre Hunter, Anfernee Simons, Danillo Gallinari, 1st from Blazers

Sixers get: CJ McCollum, John Collins, Frank Jackson, Onyeka Okongwu

Hawks get: Jerami Grant, Tobias Harris, Kelly Olynyk

Blazers get: Ben Simmons

the value seems fair to my naked eye and the trade machine liked it.

how does everyone else feel about it?

Sixers trade the 2 guys they are shopping for 2 starters that fit their team better plus a young shooter and a athletic young PF

Blazers get Simmons for McCollum, Simons and a 1st

Pistons get their youth in Hunter, Simons and a 1st and take on Gallo's contract and give up Frank, Grant and Kelly

Hawks get more defense, more shooting and proven veterans with Harris, Grant and Olynyk while giving up Hunter, Okongwu and Gallinari

definitely fits all teams needs and makes everyone better IMO.

Idk of Blazers want to give up Simons rn.

At first glance, I see it as horrible for Atlanta.

15 Jan 2022 23:24:28
The way Simons has played recently, I wouldn’t let him go for Simmons.

15 Jan 2022 23:27:20
Yeah ATL says hell no.

15 Jan 2022 23:32:01
Why would the Hawks do this?

16 Jan 2022 00:18:19
Portland doest have a first to trade. The 2022 going to Chicago is protected through 2028.

16 Jan 2022 01:05:35
so you are saying basically that Hunter/ Collins >>>>> Grant/ Harris

i suppose you think Olynyk is a throw in and taking Gallinari's contract is an early christmas gift?

Olynyk adds the stretch big they lose in Collins and makes MUCH less.

ATL financially benefits the most because they lose Collins and Gallo's contracts and take on Harris' contract. Grant's contract is peanuts same w/ Olynyk. they are getting 3 quality players (two of them proven 20 PPG scorers) for 1 quality player, 1 contract they want to get rid of and 2 unproven young players.

ATL also would not give up any draft picks in the deal. i do not see the logic in saying they get ripped off.

Young
Huerter
Harris
Grant
Capela.

well then the way Hamidou Diallo has been playing lately means he has much higher trade value? i am using the Simons theory now.

really evaluate the talent and where they are going because i see no one losing on this. this is based on needs and all said teams have interest in the players they are trading and/ or acquiring.

forget the Portland 1st if they don't have one.

would it make a difference if Diallo goes to the Hawks in the trade?

16 Jan 2022 04:02:48
Diallo isn’t putting up 28 and 8 on 51/ 45/ 95 shooting for the month.

Also, I valued Simons high before this outburst. He’s still incredibly young and looks like a possible lead scorer. For reference, I’d guess I value Simons as high as Fred values Halliburton or Philly fans value Maxey.

I’d love Simmons in Portland. But I’m not giving up the vet borderline all star guard and a possible future all star guard for him. That’s way too much.

you have to trade talent to get talent.

16 Jan 2022 07:58:34
Simmons+Harris does not pull Philly this much talent. Around the league Harris is seen as a negative because of his contract.

16 Jan 2022 16:17:20
Yeah, but Simmons is broken talent until proven otherwise. If we were talking about a current all NBA player that hadn’t embarrassed himself the last time he played, I might consider moving Simons. But not Simmons. Too much of a risk that he’s never the same.

16 Jan 2022 23:00:35
Harris would be a HUGE upgrade over Gallinari for the Hawks. swap one bad contract and take on a slightly larger one for a player that is at his prime. plus Grant is on a decent contract 20 mil a year.

John Collins is not happy with the Hawks. adding Harris and Grant would solidify them at the F positions and Grant adds defense which is always a plus.

i think ATL would save roughly 3-4 mil with this trade.
