Three team trade:
Washington gets D'Angelo Russell
Detroit gets Kyle Kuzma and KCP
Minnesota gets a future 2nd round pick from Washington
Washington gets a PG to pair with Beal
Detroit gets a still young PF and a veteran shooter on an expiring contract (who can be flipped for assets)
Minnesota gets near max cap space to go after a FA PG like Brunson or Tyus Jones.

You don't just give Dlo like that.

I'm sure they can get at least a little more for Russell.

Minny "salary dumping" Russell seems questionable especially considering the Free Agent class for the 2023-24 offseason.
Detroit also already has 13 players under contract + a (probably) top 4 draft pick to add to the roster. Not convinced taking on KCP + Kuzma is best use of their cap space. They would probably do better making their own max offer on better talent like Bridges or Ayton.

so you rather have a 2nd round pick for Russell then having an expiring contract in Westbrook?

This is a trade that only makes sense if they already have a commitment from someone like Brunson. You can’t give DLo away for hopes.

Ca - yes.

Just because the wolves are potentially going to look at moving dlo, doesn’t mean they have to this off season. They can definitely do better than a 2nd, of which they already have 3 this year. If they can’t find a better deal over the summer, they can hold out until the trade deadline.

Ca - dlo is already an expiring contract next season. I’d much rather just hold on to him than bring on Westbrook.
