yeah but Sexton would be coming off the bench in CLE and starting in DET so i think both teams would benefit from the deal. Sexton will make a bit more than Grant anyway. the Pistons can afford it but do the Cavs want to overpay for a 6th man? he is also not a good defender him and Garland backcourt is undersized and bad defensively.

Getting back J grant in a s&t for sexton isn't bad
Grant is a borderline all star two way player and still young.

I also agree with iFroth. Detroit would not trade Grant for Markannen. They already have a lot of PFs and will likely get another good one in the draft. That is why they are willing to trade Grant. Sexton makes way more sense for the Pistons.

I am of the belief that Sexton is better than Garland (Cavs fans might disagree) . So in my mind, this is a good deal for Detroit. If you are a Cavs fan and think Garland is better, it is a good deal for Cleveland as well.
