Feels like they’re in a lose lose situation. Harden looked cooked, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he bounced back. But can you pay him supermax for 3-5 years?

Harris is a terrible contract.

And honestly, I don’t know if I would build around Embiid. Has he ever been healthy for a full season plus playoffs?

One more year. If they can somehow find a way to get rid of Harris in favor of some better role players, they will have a better chance against the top eastern teams. Or if they can land a star like Beal to play with Harden and Embiid.

They should give harden a full year.
But they can do it. The traded picks are protected, so they could start a new proces :-)

The only problem with “give Harden a full year” is his contract situation. Do they give him 3 years max and hope they can flip him if they decide to move in a different direction? I can’t imagine he takes a 1 or 2 year deal.

BMiller, Morey being the Philly GM makes this extra interesting to see what happens. Philly has turned to a much watch soap opera instead of a contending championship team.
