There are a few teams, that will pay a 1st for Thompson like Lakers, 76ers, Knicks, Heat and others.

So Mavs send Thompson + 1st to xx
Nets get:
- Prosper, 2x1st, Kleber, Powell, xx
Net send:
- Johnson
- Smith

And Mavs sign W.Hernangomez on min.

Johnson and Finney-Smith are more athletic 3&D wingers that will Mavs make the first contender.

Thompson is a huge negative. You'd be lucky to get an expiring in exchange for him.

Nonsense. he is a great player. But his strenght are offense - but Mavs need more defense, that is athletic, fast also if he hits 3s on a lower rate. It is about the Mavs team needs not about Thompson, he is the same greate offensive player that can play defense, but Mavs would improve to have the great defense player that can play some offense. And in this trade, Mavs get TWO of them, why I propose to invest everything they have - I am also happy with Thompson, but I think, having Finney & Johnson would make the first contender.
