Wolves Offseason

Draft- Towns ( assuming Wolves don't get lucky)

Budinger opts out ( he has said he wants to move on)

Let Neal walk

Trade Bennett if possible(doubt this will happen)

Resign KG at 2yr/18-20 million (should be willing to take a paycut to help team get better)

Rubio's salary jumps next year but they should still have some money

Sign either shumpert or Kj McDaniels

Sign Nelson as a mentor to Lavine and Rubio, as well as a solid backup

Rubio/Lavine/Nelson
Martin/Shumpert or McDaniels
Wiggins/Muhammed/GR3/Hummel
KG/Towns/Payne/Bennett
Pek/Dieng

Good mix of vets and potential with the ability to contend within a year or two. Comments?

Kg would not get a 2 year 18-20 million he would get maybe a 2 year 7 million tops. Also no way he would start over Towns

KG would still want his money, but if he takes less, even better, and he would most definitely start over Towns because Towns is still a very raw player

You are both half right. KG would start, but no way he gets 2/$18mm. More like 2/$8mm.

Look for the wolves to sign C Kevin Sarephin currently of Washington. Wolves tried to trade for him at deadline. Maybe 22 mill. For 4 years.

I doubt they go after Seraphim in free agency, unless they somehow move Pek. They wouldn't really have the money or playing time for him.

And I still think KG would want more than 4 mil a year to keep playing and the Wolves will probably give it to him
