Sixers-Celtics-Kings

Celtics gets Demarcus Cousin
Kings gets jahlil okafor, jaylen brown, mcconell and removal of swap picks (sixers)
Sixers gets rozier and nets 1st 2017.

Celtics got a super another all star.
Kings got talented young sf and a center who almost have same skillset like cousin and can tank without a problem this coming draft with a deep of talent.

Sixers solve logjam at 5. I knew they have lakers protected top 3 pick. Meaning they have wide flexibility for next years draft.
A) they can go up if they have commited player.
B) they can also trade the other pick/ s to a proven allstar/ superstar.

Philly says no.

Sixers are not giving back the swap rights for a potential #1 overall

Sixers would say no unless the removal of being able to swap picks is removed.
Then the Kings will say no.

They give up swap rights but gain an even more likely 1st pick. With swap rights they have 1 pick. And only benefits of the Kings is better, which likely won't be.

Now they get their likely top 5 pick AND the nets likely top 5 pick. How is this a no?!? Yes they give up some assets. But come on, they gin a full top 5 pick. Not just a swap.

I agree with burger. They are adding the potential for three lottery picks in a "loaded" draft, with a guarantee of two, rather then only having thier own pick and maybe the Lakers. The Brooklyn pick for Okafor is considered a coup by itself. Rozier would just be gravy at a position of need.

Boston makes out short term

Sixers would hopefully make out long term

Kings gets a strong return of good controllable guys for a guy that's leaving soon anyway.

Okafor and the swap right for rodier and the Brookyln pick.

Ehh it's close for the Sixers. The swap with the Kings could be the number one pick in the draft. But so could the Brooklyn pick. and with the Brooklyn pick the Sixers wouldn't have to give up their pick.

I think Boston need to give Bradley or smart to the Sixers.

Brown rodier and Brooklyn pick doesn't get you cousins.

Mcconell Okafor and swap with kings is just a bit too much just to get rodier and Brooklyn pick.

Send smart or Bradley's Sixers and the deal is solid.

It isn't close. If the sixers have a worse record than the kings, which most analysts clearly believe they will, they give up okafor for a pick every analyst believes will be top 3 and rozier.

Simple as that. The swap is not a pick. it is likely nothing.

If the sixers have the option for the brooklyn pick, which would be a guarentee, and rozier, for okafor and the less than a coin toss chance of a better pick in the swap. its not a question. sixers pull the trigger and don't look back.

the kings were 23 games better than the sixers last year. 23! I don't understand how you are rationalizing that the kings are now likely the worst team in the league (they missed the playoffs in the west by 2 spots) and how the sixers are so vastly improved (their average age is 13)

This is so nuts how much a couple fans can overvalue assets.

Celtics don't own the nets pick in 2017 it is a right to swap so in essence the sixers would be trading the right to swap with the kings for the right to swap with the nets.

I imagine there isn't much difference between Kings and 76ers records even if Kings deal away Cousins especially not a big enough difference to not warrant doing this deal. There doesn't seem to be one clear cut top prospect in this upcoming draft which initially looks rather deep with a bunch of pgs so I think its much better to have added another top lottery pick than to just have the potential to swap even if Kings get #1 pick. Yes they are giving up Okafor too but he was never a good fit, his stock is lower than perceived and I think the nets pick and Rozier who looked quite improved in summer league is good compensation.

To sweeten the deal I think Kings should throw in Gay or Afflalo who a rebuilding team has no need for to try and get back some young assets from Celtics or future draft picks. They could use some of this to possible entice 76ers more if they're still on the fence

The Kings getting back Brown and Okafor (two high level prospects) is decent compensation especially with getting swap back since after dealing Cousins they should be back near top of lottery. This draft is pg heavy so a young core of one of top pgs, Malachi Richardson, Jaylen brown, Labissiere jahlil Okafor and wcs isn't a bad young roster. They could easily see themselves in similar situation to what Twolves did when they dealt Love.

Can swaps even be traded. I understand the give back by the Sixers to the kings, but can the Celtics even trade the 17 pick swap?

Honestly I'm looking at the Kings roster. They look pretty terrible. Rudy gay and cousins are their only players and the former is past his prime. That team will be lucky to get out of the top five next year.

They may even look to move cousins at the deadline before he attacks the head coach for all the losing. If that happens the wins will drop dramatically.

Sixers would rather keep the swap just in case the king win the lottery.

They are the same team. So your prediction is worthless if not based on last years results.

The idea is a trade after the swap, obviously.
