Pelicans get Ben Simmons, Markelle Fultz, and Wilson Chandler

76ers get Anthony Davis and Elfrid Payton

AD is likely on his way out. Replacing him with a young star who is still on his rookie deal would be huge for the Pelicans. They also get an expiring contract and a high upside project in Fultz.

The 76ers load their front court and land the mega talent AD before their rival Celtics get a chance at him. Payton, Redick, Butler, AD, Embiid would challenge the Warriors in the finals.

Maybe add a couple of picks also?

First, not nearly enough.
Second, New Orleans would and should want Embid in any deal.
Third, Davis and Embid couldn't coexist. The both need the ball to be effective and Embid has already complained that he wasn't getting enough touches with Butler
Deal would never happen. Imo.

@JoeB how is it not “nearly” enough? The Pelicans would be lucky to get a true young superstar for AD. They could get two stars for the price of one if Fultz pans out. I could understand wanting to add draft picks but I’d say the value is close. Simmons is younger than Embiid and still on his rookie deal, meaning the Pelicans would have more guaranteed time to build with him. Trade for Embiid and you’re on the clock to build a contender around him before his next free agency. No ball dominant guard in Simmons means more touches to go around, although sharing touches with AD might hurt his stats. If everyone is willing to sacrifice to win they could make it work.
