CJ McCollum and Nassir Little

For

Aaron Gordon, Terrence Ross, 2020 1st, and 2021 2nd rounder

Orlando gets premier shooting guard to generate offense. Little still profiles as a developmental project, but with other options at the three, Orlando is ok there.

Portland gets a streaky off-ball scorer that won't take the ball out of Lillards hands. Opens up minutes for Trent, Jr. and Simons development. Gordon looks like a great fit next to Nurkic or Collins. The biggest are thrown in to convince them to break up their pairing.

I just hate giving up the second best player on the team to get a worse player. Stars win. Portland needs one more star.

I also think that Gordon is a weird fit on that roster. He can’t play full time SF, and Collins is a 4. So bringing in Gordon just stunts Collins development. I’d take him for reasonably cheap (Ariza and a pick maybe), but not as the centerpiece for McCollum.
