@tomtowing ummm. According to NBA. com's transaction website, there is no $17 mil TPE from the Memphis-New Orleans trade (Aug 7th) because teams expanded the trade to include the S&T of Graham with Charlotte into the trade. So essentially, NO used the TPE space to S&T for Graham. Additionally, this trade has been finalized so may not be altered.

This also explains whey Spotrac. com does not show a $17 mil TPE for New Orleans as well.

Also, be aware that New Orleans is also hard cap from the Temple S&T so there is only so much room to add Hart and any other additional salary.

Good list here. Let's also add Pelicans still have $7.8 of 2021-22 MLE (say uneven trade regarding amount of players occurs, Pels could be serious players in waiver market) and they're sitting $19.7 million below the tax line -- pretty darn inviting to utilize that $17 mil TPE.
