Well Monroe has potential to be a better center than Lopez and the Bucks have to take on Dunleavys contract. Maybe they just need something else little like a 2nd rd pick.

Monroe is lazy slow and lacks effort rarley does he have a monster game unless against a bum team. Lopez may not have shy high numbers but he's solid and consistant. He knows his limitations and always plays hard monroe just gives up at times and just clogs the lane with fouls and lazy play.

I've said it about okafor before. Monroe has the worst limitation in the entire NBA. He can't stretch the floor and he can't protect the rim as a center. In the NBA today, you have to be able to do one of those things.

Lopez is a solid rim protector, good free throw shooter, and a good team player (screens, takes chargers, the little things) . Lopez is a "worse" player, but more valuable to a successful team. Monroe has never been on an above average team ever for a reason.

The only thing Monroe has on Lopez, is a post game. Lopez is better at every aspect of the game than Monroe other then the post game.

The first can turn into a good young player and the bucks aren't ready to make a run yet so you don't need those role players they also have 2 centers who can do what Lopez does I'd much rather get a pick and develop a guy like Baldwin than take Lopez.

Lopez is actually one of the best team rebounders in the NBA. The number of rebounds he creates for his teammates by his work boxing out can't be quantified. But that's one of 100 reasons why I really like rolo.
