Kings receive Frank Ntilikina, Kevin Knox, & both Dallas' 1sts '21 & '23
Knicks receive Buddy Hield

With Hield's continued struggles & his minutes decreasing, his time as a King seems to be coming to an end. The team has favored Bodganovic the past few months including now in the restart. Buddy's poor 19/62 from the 3 pt line in the bubble mixed with back to back games under 15 mins, has not exactly done much to boost his trade value. There seems to be a clear disconnect between Luke Walton & Hield. I like this move for Sacramento for a couple reasons first is because it saves them money. Signing Hield to that big extension has proven to be a mistake and this would help salvage their cap space for the future seasons. They also receive two very young players who may grow into something else on a new team. They pick up 2 future 1sts that even further position this team for the future. As for NY, they should be looking to find a starting point guard and be trying to construct a roster with actual modern basketball spacing in this offseason. I believe a good way to improve the Knicks spacing is to let Barrett play the SF. Then Buddy Hield becomes the new SG & he has proven to be an excellent floor spacer. If they land the #1 pick they could add Lamelo Ball to this line up which intrigues me a lot. But even if they don't get Ball, throwing money at a player like Vanvleet to pair with RJ and Hield sounds like a good idea to me.

Suggest reading articles from Sac King team writers and interviews with Walton, Divac and the Owner. They are not looking at trading a 20pt scorer with a career 40% from 3 shooter based on a 8-game sample size. I get that the uninformed think that Hield's move to the bench was a "demotion". It was more about adding offensive firepower to the 2nd unit (which had no Bagley either) which Bogdanovich had not been able to do (statistically, there was a massive gap in scoring between the two units) . Kings went 7-3 after the Hield-Bogdanovich swap and the season suspension primarily because the Kings were not going 8 minutes and only scoring 3 buckets with the second unit.

As for the last 2 and the rest of the bubble games, Kings are trying to show off other pieces (like Bogdanovich) in hopes of a good S&T package. So if you want to swap Bogdanovich for Hield and he agrees to come to NY, then we will have something to talk about.

Wiggins for 2 firsts and 2 players. Sounds about right for NY.

Frank and Knox might be under 22, but they’re also two of the worst players in the NBA under 22.

Frank has zero trade value. Knox has maybe the value of a second. Those firsts are likely in the 20’s. There’s no great assets in this. It’s probably fair value for a struggling Hield.

Comparing Hield to Wiggins proves a lack of knowledge of basketball.

And makes you a prime candidate to work in the NY Knicks front office.

Completely agree with Fredman. You're not watching the games. Hield and Fox are the core to a very good team, if Divac can get the right pieces around them. It's obvious Divac is shopping players other than Hield which is why he's not playing as much. The bubble is an anomaly. I'm not rating anyone playing in it v. a normal season and normal playoffs.
