Jazz-Blazers-Sixers trade idea:
It's a three team trade to benefit all three teams while aiming to improve their chances at title contention.

The Jazz and Blazers will get much better perimeter defense, while the Sixers get more shot creators and more floor spacing.

Jazz get:
Robert Covington
Mattisse Thybulle

Blazers get:
George Hill
Royce O'neale
Ben Simmons

Sixers get:
Bojan Bogdanovic
CJ McCollum
Udoka Azubuike
30th pick from Utah
2022 2nd round from Portland
2025 first pick from Portland

Blazers:
Get a veteran guard off the bench that can give you some offense to make up for it in the loss of CJ McCollum, while getting one of the best defenders in the NBA in Ben Simmons and another defender in Royce O'Neale.

Jazz:
They lost primarily due to their lack of perimeter defense, and this trade will significantly improve it. They will have to part with Bojan Bogdanovic, however they have more than enough scoring options and get two true lockdown defenders so it shouldn't matter too much.

Sixers:
I've heard that they want a lot for Ben Simmons, and they might wait for it, however this trade gives them two excellent scorers in McCollum and Bogdanovic, two first round picks and a second, and a somewhat promising young prospect in Azubuike.

I’m a little skeptical of this leaving the Jazz with Conley and Clarkson as 2/ 3 options. Maybe good enough for regular season.

Yeah, that might be a problem, they still have Ingles off the bench. 95% of the Jazz defense come from one player, and it could be argued that with two excellent defenders to support Gobert, the Jazz defense might be the best in the league, enough to remove the 15-20 that Bogdanovic gives you daily.

Jazz don't need to be in this trade. Jazz are fine if healthy. Simmons for McCollum is great trade for both teams.
