76ers / Bulls / Kings

A very similar trade was posted about a week ago, I just changed it a bit, but I love the trade for all teams involved.

76ers trade Lakers #1 next year(only 1-3 protected), OKC's #1 next year, and this years #35 and #37 picks.
76ers get Kings #6 pick and Jason Thompson's bad contract(owed 6.4 mill next year and 6.8 the following year).
76ers do it to draft hezonja and Russell to form backcourt of the future at 6'5' and 6'8" with superstar potential that can shoot!

Kings Trade #6 pick and unload Thompson's contract.
Kings get Taj Gibson, Lakers #1(only 1-3 protected next year), and picks #35 & #37 this year.
Kings do it to get a lottery pick next year(There's goes to Chicago, 1-10 protected), get a excellent PF to work with cousins, and a stabilizing vet Cousins could learn from on and off the court. I think Karl values this. Also, they unload thompsons contract, freeing up some FA money and pick up 2 high second rounders this year.

Bulls trade taj Gibson(solve the longjam problem at PF.
Bulls get OKC's #1 next year.
Bulls do it to get a #1 pick back for Gibson.
win/win/win
**maybe we through another second rounder the bulls way to sweeten the deal a bit?
if lakers pick doesn't convey this year, I think this is the best way I've seen yet to get Russell and Hezonja in the backcourt next season. thanks again for whoever came up with this trade to begin with.

I like it. Would like to keep the Lakers pick but if it goes, then it goes. I see you decided to not waive Thompson once he gets to the Sixers. No reason to do that anymore. That leaves Sixers with 4 man front court of Embiid, Noel, T. Robinson (who I expect back) and Thompson- leaving Saric one more year in Euroball to develop.

I also like that, from what I read somewhere, Hezonja and Saric are friendly.

If Sixers are at #3, do you want Mudiay or Russell to go with Hezonja? Mudiay might attract more defensive attention than Russell, opening space for Hezonja's slashing to the rim and/or catch and shoot.

I do have questions about Mudiay and his choose to play in China instead of the NCAA.

G: Wroten, Hezonja, Russell/Mudiay, McRae
SF: Covington, Grant
C/PF: Noel, Embiid, Thompson, T. Robinson
Two more spots available for veterans: Luc Mam, J. Rich, or mystery veteran PG.

makes a lot of sense. really good thinking

Actually love that trade for all involved. Kings might pass though. Taj Gibson isn't worth a first rounder.

Sixers don't get the OKC pick this year.

^^ My bad you said next year's pick

Phillyrich1.I take Russell over Mudiay every time for sixers. I like your point about mudiay opening things up for hezonja wih his slashing drives, but I feel Russell will open things up better and work the pick and roll better with embiid and noel. With noel on the floor, I want both guards to be able to shoot.

The reason that I think that mudiay decided to play in china is because he was going to be a one and done in college and he wanted to have some experience playing pro before the nba. And because he got paid I think 1 mill to play in china.

I wasn't sure why he want to China. I was kind of guessing that he didn't want to be bothered with textbooks or that he might be a chuckle-head.

I have a feeling Hezonja is going to sign to stay in Europe and play out 3 years there. Just a feeling, no evidence- other than if he stays in Europe for 3 years he bypasses the rookie wage scale. That would push him down the draft board and make him more easily acquirable.

His team can make him an offer in May, before the NBA draft.
