76ers / Magic

still trying to address the backcourt issue(and need of potential allstar issue) for the sixers.
Sixers get first overall pick. Draft Towns. Orlando gets pick #4, draft Russell. Orlando desperartely needs a guy upfront with vucevic.
Sixers trade Towns, Lakers#1(only 1-3 protected) next year for Russell, Olidipo and Frye.
Orlando gets the frontcourt stud they need Plus a potential top lottery pick next year and rid themselves of fryes contract. Sixers get the backcourt of the future. Sixers still have Saric coming over next year and their own #1, miamis#1, and okc's #1 picks.

PG: Russell/Wroten/Ish
SG: Olidipo/McCrae
SF: Covington/Grant
PF: Noel/TRobinson
C: Embiid/Sims

Magic say absolutely not. This makes no sense for them.

So magic address their front court problem by creating a backcourt one no thanks.

Would rather have a problem trying to find smalls than finding bigs. Galaxy, if I'm Orlando I absolutely do this.

This is the genius of the Sixers plan. They've already gotten the two most talented BIGS out of the past two drafts. Now they can go find the smalls while everyone else is trying to get BIGS. BIGS go first in the draft so the Sixers can get their smalls without having to get the top pick or two.

You do know that the NBA has gone wing's and not big's as the stars of the league. LBJ, Durant, Curry, Harden.

Needing a big to win is not necessary in the L any more, so again, why would Orlando do this phillyrich?? Congrats on being another delusional Philly fan.

This is a good and fair trade. Magic get towns to pair up with the vet vucevic and get lakers 1st next year and they would still have their own pick and they can address a small forward and shooting guard. And the sixers will take frye's bad contract. Then sixers get Russell and olidipo which makes it a really fair trade. I don't know what u guys r bickering about.

Tri: The point is you need both to win. You need both bigs and smalls. And in general, it seem easier to get the smalls, those wing players, later in the draft. So if you have a chance to trade quality small for quality big, you do it.

So if Orlando gives up a good wing in order to move up and get the best big in the draft, AND get a really good future pick, there's nothing wrong with that.

And by the way, the best NBA teams win by rebounding. Take a look at the worst rebounding teams in the league:

Dallas, Sixers, Knicks, Atlanta, Minn, Suns, Nets, Miami, Orlando. Toronto.

A couple of those teams are decent, the rest are lottery fodder. Rebounding matters. Bigs matter.
