Not going to happen. Report out today is that Embiid's foot has not progressed as expected. Its been called a "setback" but I think is more of a lack of progress in the bone growth.

It might be a smokescreen. I'm not so sure.

14 Jun 2015 13:17:56
Embiid aka oden is done bruh

14 Jun 2015 14:31:15
Might be done. Might not be done. Might need more time.

As I look back at the 2014 NBA draft, at this point, there was no obvious pick at the 3 spot or soon after that has thus far made the Embiid pick look totally stupid.

Embiid-Gordon-Exum-Smart-Randall-Stauskus-Vonleh

Its a little premature to say Embiid is Oden. And its a little premature to say the pick was totally stupid or not since those next 6 guys picked still need time to grow as players.

Oden was picked at the cost of Durant. Thus far there is no Durant that has emerged to make the Embiid equivalent to Oden.

Needless to say, I'm concerned.

I'm not trading embiid for anything. You guys got to read the reports. This has smoke screen or over caution written all over it. A week ago I read a ton of report of how embiid was putting up dominate performance and int he current report they said embiid is feel zero pain. This is sixer over caution written all over it. Remember we put him in a boot mid season and a day later he was dunking again.

Sixers pass despite the reports

14 Jun 2015 17:09:08
This is hysterical. They are now talking about saving his career. Did like 2 weeks of regular workouts and he's broken again. Remember like a month ago when all sixers fans were saying Embiid is Olajowan, and he's perfectly healthy? Or that amazing dunk he did in pregames that showed he's better than jordan? Good luck with him. He's lazy, brittle and a diva. That NEVER equates to success.

14 Jun 2015 18:01:58
Pizza, try to not be over joyous at the potential misery of others. We're talking about a young man that's done nothing to you. So tone it back.

Embiid is not broken again. He is experiencing zero pain, zero discomfort. The bone appears to not have grown as much as they had expected at this point.

I've seen no Olajowan comparisons on this sight although I do not preclude that there might be one. He's not lazy, nor a diva although he may be brittle.

With all that being said, its not like they passed on Durante to draft him. The next several picks have not shown well (yet).

Lastly, TreGib might be right. The timing of this is suspicious especially since Hinkie never says anything- ever. Why would he show his cards before the draft?

14 Jun 2015 19:05:20
Hahaha, tone it back? Ok phillyrich. Ill tone it back with someone like Brandon Roy, who worked his ass off and lost his career. Embiid. far to busy tweeting to Rhianna, arguing with his coaches, refusing to do conditioning. and yet you all act like he's the best EVER. Oden was great also, he worked as hard as possible, just didn't happen. You guys enjoy Embiid. You banked so much on him being the best ever, and well. this was inevitable.

Not lazy? didn't he gain about 50lbs because of not working out?

not a diva? well, ill just ignore that.

You guys need to stop talking about heinkes master plan, about how everyone is a top 50 player most liekly, and how Embiid was DEFINITELY a couple years away from league MVP. This is why the sixers are consistantly awful.

14 Jun 2015 20:24:00
All time low, even for you pizza. Sixer fans. Let's hope for the best for embiid.

14 Jun 2015 20:42:32
My oh my. Aren't we just seething with pomposity (let me help: the quality of being pompous; self-importance) and joy at the possible injury of another. Oh, happy days, happy days. A young professional athlete might have a real injury problem. (Yeah. Hahahaha. Look at me. Look at me.)

Embiid did gain some weight, the coach got on the young man, and then Embiid chiseled his frame. He did not "refuse" to do conditioning. You'll have to footnote your reference to "refuse." I believe the only thing he has "refused" to do is smile on media day last year.

I have never acted as "like he's the best EVER." Again, please footnote that slobbering claim. I never believed the Sixers would trade him since they were ingraining him in their team. (You might have to look up "ingrain.")

Oden is a problem not because he never worked out as an elite player, but because he was drafted instead of Kevin Durant. There was no Durant drafted after Embiid. Nice try though. I'll take a second so you can stop reading and wipe your spittle off the screen.

Ok, back to you.

"You banked so much on him being the best ever" Ah, again, I'll need a reference and footnote for that false claim. And I'm surprised you know what "banking" is.

Your additional reference to "lazy" and gain of 50 lbs has already been addressed. Thanks for repeating it as if you didn't recall stating above that you consider him lazy. Perhaps if you weren't so focused on your donut you'd remember that you tried that attack already.

Diva? You'll have to source that claim. Sorry. If you're going to be an arrogant jack-ass, destroy a young man's reputation and take joy at another's injury, you're going to have to provide sources. No. the National Enquirer is not a valid source. When you called him a Diva, I knew for sure you got that from reading about Kim K in the Enquirer.

Finally, just as a token of good will, I'll offer Embiid to your favorite NY Knicks for either their 2016 1st round pick OR 2nd round pick? I know the Knicks would strongly consider that trade- IF they had a 1st or 2nd round pick next year.

Again, try to show a little class. Just a little. Most find gloating at the pain of a professional athlete distasteful.

14 Jun 2015 22:52:00
lol. U tell him phillyrich

15 Jun 2015 00:42:58
Nobody sent out for pizza,,and He showed up anyway. Comments against an injured Player are pretty classless

15 Jun 2015 14:53:55
Epic rant? Or manifesto? You make the call.

15 Jun 2015 15:50:51
Man. The worlds best centers career is over before it began. Too bad you all started your championship and MVP parties before he played a game. But hey, at least insurance should pay his contract. I guess that's a win for philly? Hysterical!! What's wrong, all sixers fans trashed everyone else because he is the best ever. You claimed what he did in practice made him so elite it was at Anthony Davis level. Now that the obvious happened you are telling others to not talk? Definition of hypocrisy.sixers fans. Absolutely loving this :)

15 Jun 2015 17:52:33
Please, please. Feel free to talk. Go for it. You're only making yourself look more and more petty and angry and spiteful and - well, what we call in Philly a New York fan.

Continue on. There's no reason to blow you away on a point by point basis again. You can't document a single think you claim. You're just spewing. Its ok. We're not offended. We actually think its funny.

Unfortunately what you think is funny is that a young man is injured.

Please enjoy your Knicks. I will note what might be of the most irony: that your beloved Knicks had a worse record than the Sixers last year.

Feel free. Fire away. Hurry up. This is almost ready to be sent off to page 2.

15 Jun 2015 20:28:47
HA, phillyrich. let's add up wins for the past 5 years, see how that turns out. Good luck. you have not traded away the rookie of the year. you drafted a clear Oden 2.0. and yet, you resort to the "high road" of going, "i won't lower myself to your level by insulting you. you lost more games than us, so there!"

You guys are hysterical. Guess it's just another year of tankage for the lovely lovely sixers. Where all they do is claim to only be the second or third worst team in the league, and take pride in their unearned and worthless "potential" that never amounts to anything. What a joke of a franchise and what a bigger joke of the whiny fanbase.

15 Jun 2015 22:00:38
Pretty funny. Actually made me laugh again. The fan base isn't whining. But you are about the fan base. Honestly, I'm laughing. Why?

Past 5 years? Ok, Dufus. Knicks average 37 wins per year. Sixers average 33 wins per year. Big deal.

Past 5 years? Knicks have 7 playoff wins. Sixers have 8 playoff wins. Again, big deal. Wait, you didn't know that the Sixers have more playoff wins in that 5 year period? That's why I'm laughing.

Honestly, if you're going to try to beat Sixers fans into the ground based on the brilliance of the Knicks, you really should do your homework first.

Neither team has a spectacular record over the past 5 years. Of that there is no debate.
