Kings try to free up cap space for guards to make Cousins happy.
Kings send: Stauskus, Landry, Thomson, Top 10 protected 1st rounder, and give the Sixers right to flip 1st rounders for two years.
Sixers send: Two foreign 2nd rounders from last week's draft plus one of the stockpile of future 2nd rounders.
Kings try to sign Monta Ellis, Rondo, Wes Matthews.

Love this deal. just have to hope the kings sign rondo today and use up some of that cap space so they can't back out of this trade. Great trade for sixers. couldn't believe it happened yesterday.

So here's what we learned about our fellow posters:
1. There's several people that marked this trade as "unbelievable" although it just happened
2. Someone thinks the Kings can pull out of the trade, which would pretty much end the Kings as a viable NBA team
3. Nobody thought of the idea that the Sixers should pursue Rondo just to mock the Kings- although, on the other hand, maybe we want them to get Rondo.

They just traded for Thompson and Stauskus. You didn't read that? They wanted Stauskus in the draft last year. So the answer to your question is they will trade for a player they want two days ago. You can actually learn about this by using the inter-web thingy.
As for a decent free agent, you're right, they probably should have banked their off season on signing Greg Monroe. You know, the guy who is attracted to the greatest city in the world, New York, I mean Milwaukee.
