Why would Detroit take on Fournier's contract AND trade Saddiq Bey for a late 1st round pick?

13 Dec 2022 12:43:24
Heat - Rockets

Heat get Eric Gordon

Rockets get Duncan Robinson & 1st round pick

Legendary

1.) 13 Dec 2022 23:52:52
Good trade still lack defense tho.

2.) 13 Dec 2022 23:54:11
I think the heat need an impact player to help them. Like a Lillard they can find a 3rd team and move lowry and herro with a first to land that impact player and scorer.

How is Jonathan Isaac now?

I feel like he is an interesting fit with Murray / Sabonis for Sacramento, if he becomes available to play, what would it take for the Magic to say yes in a trade for him?

Holmes, Lyles & Dellavedova matches his salary and probably are the "only" pieces the Kings could give. He is a risk so giving up a pick for him gonna make me think twice. But maybe a 2nd or two will do. A 3rd team could be involved to give Magic a wing who can score.

Legendary

1.) 12 Dec 2022 19:13:45
I don’t wanna give him up he is defensive anchor when healthy.

2.) 13 Dec 2022 17:33:23
Orlando has zero use for Holmes, Lyles, or Dellavedolla. Isaac has been assigned to the G-League to help with his rehab and will be back soon (ish) hopefully. When healthy, he was and will be again, a contender for DPOY. Scrubs and maybe a 2nd Rd picks or two don't move the needle for Orlando. I know he hasn't played in 2 years, but there is reason they have kept him around.

3.) 13 Dec 2022 17:37:17
Kings are not trading pieces for a player that has not played a game in 2 seasons. Going to need to see Isaac play like 30 mins for 20 games before I make any decision about trading for him.

4.) 13 Dec 2022 17:39:07
I'd be willing to give up Derrick White and Grant Williams for a healthy Isaac, but that's as big an if as there is.

I dont want to sound like ddrainer, but is there any decent chance the Mavericks can make a run at Bradley Beal without giving up of course, Luka.

Legendary

1.) 13 Dec 2022 13:50:53
Bradley Beal just signed an extension that included a no-trade clause that Beal requested to be included. I haven't seen anything to suggest that his mind has changed about leaving Washington anytime soon.

So the simple answer to your question is NO.

2.) 13 Dec 2022 22:57:37
Imo no. Mavs don’t really have any expiring contracts that would appeal to Beal for salary fillers (THJ Dinwiddie Bertans are salary fillers on multiple years)

Mavs also doesn’t have a high level prospect, maybe not even a mid level honestly. And add late round picks that will be down the line. I say 0.5% chance.

3.) 14 Dec 2022 07:04:33
If they would’ve kept Brunson then maybe.

4.) 14 Dec 2022 14:28:48
Dallas has a better shot at Lavine than Beal. But I don't think that happens either.

13 Dec 2022 05:50:03
After their loss to the Clippers tonight, the Celtics will whoop the Lakers a** the next day.

Legendary

1.) 13 Dec 2022 08:53:12
We'll see but they're not playing well. Now that their offense has fallen off, they're really missing their bigs.

2.) 14 Dec 2022 04:29:13
The freakin Lakers are the biggest choker in the NBA.

31 Aug 2021 23:19:05
Who is better overall, Jaylen Brown or Ben Simmons?

Legendary

1.) 01 Sep 2021 02:28:50
It depends on what else I have. So neither.

2.) 01 Sep 2021 02:40:38
I think it’s easier to build a team around Simmons, just surround him with all shooters. Idk if you could build a team around Brown.

3.) 01 Sep 2021 03:54:46
Getting a big that can play with Simmons will ALWAYS be the issue.

Easier to build around Brown.

4.) 01 Sep 2021 04:32:26
There’s plenty of bigs that can stretch the floor these days. Just need to find one that’s not more of a post player like Embiid. Also Simmons need to be the starting PF and just run point forward.

5.) 01 Sep 2021 19:59:07
lets see here. Kat, B. Lopez, Vucevic, Jokic, Turner, ummm, ummmm, who else? Porzingis? Olynyk?

Not sure that this list qualifies as "plenty". 7 players out of 30 teams.

Also, I would have added Embiid to the list, but we already know how that worked out.

6.) 01 Sep 2021 20:01:14
Also, FYI. There were only 5 centers who averaged over 1 3pt made per game. Just saying.

7.) 01 Sep 2021 22:22:40
Valanciunas Markannen Mobley Jones Wood Griffen Bamba Bryant Thad etc… all centers or PF who have played significant minutes as ball small 5. Like I said it’s just finding the right match.

8.) 02 Sep 2021 03:42:01
So getting Simmons means you have to play a small ball lineup because of fit?

9.) 02 Sep 2021 17:21:05
Is 2x 6’10+ guys really small though?

The real limitation is that you can’t have a ball dominant post presence as your center, which is basically just Embiid. If your center is the 4th or 5th offensive option, it doesn’t really matter if he stretches the floor or not.

10.) 03 Sep 2021 01:30:27
Only Thad and Griffen I listed is small ball centers. Simmons is a PF (point forward) in today’s league. Honestly he doesn’t even need a sharpshooter at center. He needs to play PF so they can put another guard that shoots on the floor. If they started Curry/ Milton/ Green/ Simmons/ Embiid it would be a better spacing team. If they could trade Harris for Hield or another guard I believe that would improve tremendously.

Wow VanVleet went off, if he and Siakam can consistently produce every night, Raptors would be formidable.

Legendary

1.) 03 Feb 2021 12:27:54
Siakam also had 8 assists. I think he should do well as a facilitator and secondary scorer.

26 Jan 2021 21:36:42
Who do you think are the top 5 most influential players of all time?

Legendary

1.) 26 Jan 2021 23:40:41
Jordan, Lebron, Magic, Bird, and Russell.

2.) 27 Jan 2021 05:07:59
Kobe, MJ, Lebron, Magic, Russell.

3.) 27 Jan 2021 07:58:44
Without any Bias i think Kobe is top 5. Along with Michael and Lebron of course. The other 2 could be debatable.

4.) 27 Jan 2021 12:37:06
Russell, Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, Curry (all changed the game except for perhaps Kobe) .

5.) 27 Jan 2021 13:48:22
MJ, Kobe, AI, Lebron, Curry (no order)

6.) 27 Jan 2021 17:03:09
Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, Magic seem like the top 4. They’re the flashy guys that everyone wants to be.

If we’re talking about influencing the game, Wilt, Curry, Kareem, Russell, and Iverson are good options for the fifth. But I don’t think of them come close to the impact the top 4 had.

7.) 27 Jan 2021 18:21:00
@BMiller. Not sure you can have Magic Johnson without having Larry Bird. The "influence" came from them both of them competing against one another.

8.) 28 Jan 2021 05:38:25
Wilt magic/ bird. Mj lebron curry. Kobe didn’t do anything different than mj. Lebron gave players power and curry made every team shoot 30 threes a game.

The Suns are in 7th place cause Booker isn't playing? While the Western teams have close records actually.

Not so appealing, you have 5 "star" players on a team, just worried about all the egos, and a championship team might need some role players. I think getting Lamelo is good but I would honestly keep Jonas and Jaxson if I were NOLA.

Agree with JJ, OKC might be needing one of Dort or Dieng to be removed from the deal.

Bulls might "go" rebuilding. Why would they trade a pick when they can get one for Vooch?

Myles Turner is the most realistic option. Salary matching is perfect. Indy can snag a good player to develop with that pick.

Other options are Nurkic from Portland, Bryant from Washington or Valanciunas from Grizz.
