After Sept 15 when Paul and Gallinari can be traded together:

Miami gets Paul, Gallinari, their two first rounder back in 2021 and 23

Oklahoma gets Dragic, Waiters, Olynek, Winslow, and Bam.

Okc says maybe to this If they haven’t found a better deal for these players by the trade deadline, but if Miami throws in its 2024 1st Rnd unprotected, then they say deal immediately. (I think Prest would rather have Herro over Bam)

Miami will still have access to their 2020 and 2022 1st Rnd picks as a result.

2.) 05 Aug 2019 13:17:06
Be surprised if OKC gives up yhat much to get off Paul.

Also, trade would leave Miami without a center on their roster.

3.) 05 Aug 2019 23:34:14
Maybe 1 pick but definitely not pick I myself would rather keep CP before I'd give up a pick and I would also expect a team to give a 1st round pick for Gallinari close to the trade deadline.

I would always add in a 2022 1st rounder coming back to OKC if it evens it out for y’all.

OKC-ORL
Schroeder for Bamba and Fultz

I see it as pretty even, ORL gets their point guard, offloads Fultzs contract, and offloads a superfluous big after signing Vuc for 100million.

OKC gets a young big. I could see trading a 2nd rounder either way but what do you all think?

Thunderic

1.) 30 Jul 2019 11:55:08
Schroeder has negative value. Bamba still has a lot of value.

2.) 30 Jul 2019 12:25:30
Just because a guy isn’t needed or a team has an overflow of talent doesn’t mean they’ll give him away for free.

Also, getting Schroeder is not getting “their point guard”, it’s getting one of the worst starting PGs in the league.

3.) 30 Jul 2019 12:29:21
You may see if even, but Orlando will see that OKC needs to add picks to make it even (and I ain't talking about 2nd rounders either) .

ORL gets Schroeder

OKC gets Bamba, Fultz

Magic get a good point guard and out from Fultz contract, Thunder get a young big that’s superfluous with Vuv’s 100 million contract. I’d say it’s pretty even value and salary-wise but a 2nd rounder either way could even it out further.

magic definitely say no.

Paul for Dragic, Winslow, Herro, and Bam.
What picks do you think would need to be included to make this happen?
I'm guessing both of the Miami picks but would that be enough?

Thunderic

1.) 27 Jul 2019 06:48:17
Reports say that Miami wants both of their draft picks back AND will not include Adebayo or Herro in the deal.

So the question becomes are those 2 picks worth keeping Paul (and his contract) around while OKC goes through a rebuild.

Will see after teams pass the Dec 15th FA signing trade restriction passes.

2.) 27 Jul 2019 10:17:04
Paul is stuck in OKC

The Westbrook trade was only good for OKC, if they can keep all their picks.

OKC isn't going to hit the free agent market the next three years, so why clear cap losing draft picks and there are cheaper ways to get under the cap. Gallinari, Robertson and Patterson all have expiring contracs they can dump.

CP3 has to choose between a big contract in OKC or a buyout that hurts his bank account.

CP3 can accept a 25M buyout, he can resign for a vet min to a contender and hit the free agent market next year, when their are no big free agents available (considering Lowry and A Davis are going to resign)

3.) 27 Jul 2019 14:04:49
Just send Miami's shorter bad contracts for Paul. OKC keeps the picks, Miami keeps their young players.

4.) 27 Jul 2019 14:49:38
Reports say Miami is not willing to do that, xxx.

5.) 29 Jul 2019 04:23:06
The sticking point is Miami won’t include Herro in any deals.

That is what Okc is looking for, they would take Adebayo, but he isn’t their 1st choice.
Okc would be willing to send back both draft picks, but Miami doesn’t feel they need to budge right now on the rookies.

The other sticking point is Okc will not take on salary. Miami keeps trying to unload some salary on Okc even after getting back those draft picks.

These are the reasons why they’re in a stalemate. Neither team needs to be in a hurry right now.
Now maybe if a 3rd team gets involved, things will work out a little better for all sides.

I like the money savings but those two from the thunder are positive 3+ pipm vs the hornets are a negative pipm grouping. So ordinarily I’d suggest adding picks to balance the talent but Charlotte is not a team to give up picks. So I don’t know how this gets done.

I can see one unprotected 1st but I’d say two picks is less of a joke than giving up a scorer like Gallo for nothing useful

They’re not paying picks to get under the tax, now if the Pistons included something good in the trade like a young player, maybe, but they’re under the tax now, sure they have to fill a roster spot, but they could make a much smaller move to get under if needed. I would also trade a 2020 pick for a 2022 pick from the Pistons I suppose.

Whether or not it’s rational, I think that the Wizards are committed to Wall. I agree with your trade though. It’s too bad that they can’t do a conditional pick like the thunder get one first rounder and if Wall sits more than a certain percentage of the first two seasons they get a second one.
