Three NBA Trades That Need To Happen Before the March 25th Trade Deadline

1 . Miami Joins the Contenders

Miami Heat get: Dipo, Tucker
Houston Rockets get: Herro, Achiwua, Nunn, Okpala, Iggy

Heat Depth Chart
PG Victor Oladipo / Goran Dragic
SG Duncan Robinson / Avery Bradley
SF Jimmy Butler / Mo Harkless
PF P.J. Tucker / Kelly Olynyk
C Bam Adebayo / Meyers Leonard
Analysis: They get their guy in Oladipo BEFORE free agency without wasting a season of Jimmy's prime. Tucker would replace what they dearly missed in Jae Crowder-a stretch four who can switch on bigger players.

Rockets Depth Chart
PG John Wall / Kendrick Nunn
SG Tyler Herro / David Nwaba
SF Eric Gordon / Andre Iguodala
PF Daniel House Jr. / Precious Achiwua
C Christian Wood / DeMarcus Cousins
Analysis: Rockets get the promising young Tyler Herro instead of having to pay Oladipo a near-max/risk losing him in free agency. Kendrick Nunn may benefit from a change in scenery, as he hasn't been able to reach the level of play he had early last season. Achiwua and Okpala are interesting prospects, in which the former has already showed some nice skill.

2 . Toronto Saves The Offense

Toronto Raptors get: Beal, Bonga
Washington Wizards get: Anunoby, Powell, Flynn, Johnson, McCaw, 2021 top 5 protected first round pick (else 2022 unprotected first round pick), 2023 top 10 protected first round pick (top 5 protected in 2024, unprotected in 2025), 2023 second round pick, 2025 second round pick

Raptors Depth Chart
PG Kyle Lowry / Isaac Bonga
SG Fred VanVleet / Matt Thomas
SF Bradley Beal / Terence Davis
PF Pascal Siakam / Chris Boucher
C Aron Baynes / Alex Len
Analysis: The Raptors extend their competitive window by trading for the league's leading scorer on a team that so desperately needs scoring. The three guard lineup of Lowry, VanVleet, and Beal with Siakam and Baynes in the front court could be as effective as the league's best lineup according to the advanced stats last season in OKC of Paul, Schroder, Gilgeous-Alexander, Gallinari, and Adams.

Wizards Depth Chart
PG Russell Westbrook / Ish Smith
SG Norman Powell / Troy Brown Jr.
SF OG Anunoby / Davis Bertans
PF Deni Avidja / Rui Hachimura
C Robin Lopez / Mo Wagner
Analysis: The Wizards move on from Beal and trade him while his value is still very high and in return get a really good young player in Anunoby, a solid role guy in Powell, a prospect in Flynn, two first rounders, as well as two second rounders.

3 . Dallas Ups Their Frontcourt

Dallas Mavericks get: Drummond, McGee, Dotson
Cleveland Cavaliers get: Powell, Brunson, Finney-Smith, Johnson, 2021 second round pick, 2022 second round pick

Mavericks Depth Chart
PG Luka Doncic / Trey Burke
SG Josh Richardson / Damyean Dotson
SF Tim Hardaway Jr. / Wes Iwundu
PF Kristaps Porzingis / Maxi Kleber
C Andre Drummond / JaVale McGee
Analysis: Dallas is in the bottom half of the league in total rebounds, and it is an area they could definitely improve on. Insert Andre Drummond, who is currently on an expiring contract for the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaging 19 points and 16 rebounds per game. His fit next to Porzingis would be ideal as Porzingis likes to play outside and struggles banging down low, where as Drummond is the opposite, a player that controls the interior extremely well, but struggles outside of that area, due to his lack of shooting ability.

Cavaliers Depth Chart
PG Darius Garland / Jalen Brunson
SG Collin Sexton / Cedi Osman
SF Issac Okoro / Taurean Prince
PF Kevin Love / Larry Nance Jr.
C Jarrett Allen / Dwight Powell
Analysis: Jarrett Allen was an absolute steal for the Cavaliers in the James Harden trade, only costing them a future first round pick from the contending Milwaukee Bucks. He averaged 11 points and 10 rebounds in Brooklyn this season on 68% from the field and in under 27 minutes per game. He's the future starting center for the Cavaliers not the nine year veteran Drummond, who is due for a new contract and doesn't fit the time line of the young players in Cleveland. The Cavs crowded frontcourt should mean a move expeditiously of Drummond and getting back pieces like Powell, Brunson, and second rounders should make that move even more enticing.

I'm pretty sure due to Anunoby's extension, the deal can't work.

actually it would. would make both teams take on salary, but within allowances higher than what they send out. other 2 deals can't be completed until into february (2nd for miami deal, 23rd for dallas) because oladipo can't be combined with anybody until then, and dotson would hold up the cleveland/ dallas deal because he was just signed.
I don't think I'd do it for the Raptors anyway. Beal is awesome and would certainly help the anemic offense, but I believe (and yes i know many would not agree) that Anunoby has the highest upside of anyone in this trade. and he fits the raptors defensive identity.
