Celtics-Pelicans trade:

Celtics get: ish smith

Pelicans get: 2 round draft pick

This works for the Celtics depth at point gaurd especially now that Smart is hurt and just could use depth at the possition now that Rozier has been sent to the D league so it would allow the three of them to share time and not force the shooting guards into that role.

This gives the Pelicans another pick to add to their small rebuilding period.

Man, the Pelicans can be more than happy to have Ish Smith right now. With Cole injured and Holiday needing time to recover, trading Ish Smith especially for a pick would leave a huge big nothing at the Point Guard spot there. At 28.8 min/game he is even 6th in assists/game (7.9) and has a +/- per 100 possessions over the replacement-player of +22 (by November 22nd) . And I think the PG-position is the least thing Boston has to worry about. Smart, Thomas, in case of need Bradley and also Rozier, who has been recalled from the D-League 2 days ago and while I'm writing this actually is currently on the floor for the Celtics against the Brooklyn Nets.

Yeah, no clue why the pelicans would give up their current starter, worst case backup, pg who is averaging 11 pts, 8 assists and a rocking 3.7 ass/to ratio. for a 2nd round pick?

It's a VERY bad trade for the pelicans. What does a mid second round pick offer? 99% chance worse than what Ish is offering right now.

Wow, I actually agree with Pizza. Pels can try to upgrade at SF if Cole, Holiday get fully healthy. They can get more than a 2nd rounder.

I have a question for you people?:

Would Reggie Jackson be a good fit for the Pistons?

If yes what would it take to get him(I am not looking to trade a starter or sixth man or a draft pick too) but what do you think

Or if you disagree who do you think they will trade for or sign and what would they give up to get a decent PG
