Haven't you seen what's going on with teams trying to dump salaries? They don't get assets back. They pay to get rid of the contract.
What's more likely is the Warriors send Lee to the Sixers along with their #1 pick in 2019. The Sixers send back a bucket of used Spaldings and a top 58 protected 2nd rounder.

Embiid won't play in 2015 and may never play again due to chronic foot fractures. 76ers also can't afford to have another losing season like the last one. 76ers would get a good, healthy player if they took #28 from Celtics. Celtics have so many draft picks that they can afford to take a chance on Embiid and hope he can play again in 2016.
