Why would Chicago be against this? They aren't making the playoffs this year, Rondo is done and the entire roster other than the 4's can't shoot. Russell is a great young prospect who provides shooting. And that Laker pick is either a top 5 pick this year or unprotected next year, when the Lakers still won't be very good.

The Sixers won't be eating bad money to get assets this year. Those times are gone. Instead, they will be looking to dump Bayless with any combo of 2nds, Luwawu-Cabarrot, and Holmes.

Clippers get a new franchise player to build around as well as a lotto pick and possibly another 1st. They then look to sell off DJ to get out of the tax.
Blazers get a dynamic front court of Nurkic-Griffin and a much more well-rounded backcourt of Lillard-Beverley. Of course they will have to wait for next season for that to come to fruition with the injuries, but the ceiling for the franchise is definitely raised.
