LAL get R Gobert, T Booker, & '17 1st rd pick (top 10 protected).
UTH gets #4 draft pick, J Hill, & T Black
LAL need a rim protector. Gobert will be in the running for DPOY for years to come and is extremely athletic for a 7 footer. He will average a double double with 2+ blocks per game and can run the floor. Whoever the #4 pick is this year I don't think will help LAL turn it around quickly. Gobert can can contribute right away and be a huge piece for their future. The lakers still need to add several pieces through FA. Sign Rondo (3 years $33M, team option on his 3rd year), D Green (3 years $22.5M), D Carroll (3 years $18M). This puts them right around this year's cap, they should have some wiggle room to offer a little more or add a couple more veteran pieces. They can make a run at Durant when he's a free agent the following year after Kobe's contract expires.

Horrible trade for the Jazz, Gobert is years away from being a free agent and there is no need to cash in yet

Utah has no reason to "cash in" on Gobert, he'll be a restricted free agent next summer and Utah will have the ability to match any offer he recieves. Utah can keep him around as long as they'd like as long as they're willing to pay him.

He's under contract for 2 more years. Jazz are already paying Gordon & Favors. Each will make $18M in their last year. I don't know if Jazz will match a max offer somebody might be willing to make him at that time (if he continues to improve and he'll have a full season getting starters minutes), then they might lose him for nothing.
It's not like the Jazz aren't getting value for him in return. Hill's a solid young player, Young's an idiot but he can score and add energy coming off the bench and they'd get a top 5 pick.

They will be able to pay him, also Hill is like 27 so not that young, also Young's contract is a complete negative with his effeciency

jazz wouldn't take the Lakers whole team and all their picks next two years for Gobert. kanter however you should get and pair him with Boozer because the future of Lakers for several years will be LOSERS. Hahaha
