76ers rebuild possibilities:

1. Drafting DeAngelo Russell is key.
2. Although Embiid, Noel, and TRobinson are a good upfront three, I think Hinkie would like to add a PF who could stretch the defense. unfortunately there are rumors that Hinkie loves Porzingis. I cringe to think he may take him #3. But I propose another option. Frank Kaminsky. If Kaminsky drops to the 10-12 range, which is possible, maybe sixers can put together a package of future picks(miamis #1, OKC's#1, maybe take back some salary and add pick #35 this year) to land him. He has been lighting it up at workouts, and has been called the best player on the floor by a number of scouts. granted the top tier guys aren't there, but he could be a steal.
3. Still hope to sign Khris Middleton. A 6'8" SG who is 23 and on the verge of stardom. maybe overpay a bit, but will be worth it in the long run. Overpaying this year will be underpaying when the cap jumps in 2017.
4. Do Not resign jrich, mbah a mote, canaan, Sampson.
5. Still have own #1, Lakers #1, and Saric coming over next year.
PG: Russell(19)/Wroten/(Ish or P.Jack)
SG: Middleton(23)/McCrae, HThompson
SF: Covington(24)/Grant/GRIII
PF: Noel(21)/ Kaminsky/ TRobinson
C: Embiid(21)/Sims/Noel

• I think the Lakers will draft Russellif they don't get Towns
• Middleton is Restricted and I don't see the Bucks not matching any offer he gets

On a side note, MIL has a crazy back court and will present matchup nightmares if Carter-Williams can improve his outside shooting.
PG = 6'-6" (Carter-Williams)
SG = 6'-8" (Middleton)
SF= 6'-11" (Giannis)

If we draft pozingus. At the three spot. I'm quiting the Sixers. That means I choose him over Russell mudiay or okafor. I'd be completely on the Fire hinkie bandwagon. We've been patient as a fan base. Don't screw us now by not getting the best players available.

Russell is going to be a really good pro IMO.

The Sixers will not draft Pozingus at 3. Should Russell be gone and if the Sixers do not want Mudiay, there will be big demand for the #3 pick, since one of the two bigs will be there. So the Sixers have to explore the idea of trading down and how far to trade down. Or, they might just be exploring the idea of trading down anyhow.

An interesting option would be to trade down with Denver and land in the 7 spot where someone like Pozingus or Hezonja or Winslow would be available. The Nuggets own the right to swap picks with NY next season. Denver also owns the rights to the Memphis pick (top 5 protected for a couple of years then completely unprotected).

What we're seeing right now is a huge game of NBA poker. Everyone's trying to bluff everyone else into panicking and giving up picks when they don't have to. I suspect the Lakers really want one of the two bigs but are trying to get the Sixers to move up 1 slot to get Russell, but after throwing in one of their stockpile of future 1st rounders.

Dont expect sixers trading down from their pick. If russell goes to the Lakers then they would select mudiay. I would be very cool if we get him at 3. Hinkie loves him too and he was the only gm to go and watch him in China. And he will be a very productive player in this league and he might turn out to be better than russell. But at this point russell is a better player but mudiay in 3 years can work on his game with a great coach in brett Brown. I have a feeling that russell has already hit his ceiling while mudiay has has a lot more room to grow. I want mudiay because I feel he can be a more productive leader and overall player than russell.
