Sixers get:
- Cameron Payne
- Dion Waiters
- Steve Novak
They get their young future point guard. They have 2 most likely top 10 picks and with Embiid and Saric joining them and with the young them they have I think they can make one expendable. Payne is an expierced college player like was Lillard.
Thunder get:
- Lakers 1st top 5 protected
- Jakeer Sampson
( Lakers keep if top 3, Sixers keep if 4-5, and thunder get 6 and up )
Thunder save about 10m and get a potential top 10 pick.

Dude no. Payne was just a top pick and okc isn't giving away Waiters for nothing

Can you even change the protection on a already protected pick?

No way sixer give up the lakers pick.

Payne was a mid-first. Waiters has shown little and Novak is a liability. You aren't getting the Laker pick for that - it's not close.

King, the team with the protected pick can add protections if they trade it since that's a new side deal. But the obviously can't remove protections.
The NBA is starting to look like a drunken game of monopoly with all the side deals, flip flops and contingency trades.

I find that wierd NBA allows it.

Well, if you think about it, there's a first rounder that the Lakers get to use if its 1,2,3. The Sixers have the rest of the options on that pick. The Sixers can make a deal with another team in which the Sixers get to use the pick if its (for example) 4-10 and trade away the option on the pick 11-the rest of the first round.
Like I said, it looks like the deals we make during a family game of monopoly.
