It's not terrible and giving that much you want to get him to sign a 3 year extension. The Spurs get 3 young vets that know there system so this would help them with the aging vets they have. If the Hawks want to win a championship they need to bring in superstars and this would be the one and that's why you give up so much and ask for a 3 year extension.

I know its far fetched but this trade between the Hawks and Spurs would be good for both teams.
Spurs get Schroeder, Bazemore, Dedmon and the 30th pick this year or the 19th
Hawks get Kawhi Leonard
The Hawks sign Cousins, Isaiah Thomas draft Bagley at #3

That's awful for the Spurs. I'm not sure any of those players are worth a first on their own and then they get a late first for a top 10 player in the league.
