Indiana get Siakam

Raptors get Turner & J Brown

Celtics get Achiuwa, Brogdon & 1st round pick Toronto

Agree0 Disagree11

Oh hell would I say yes. Essentially Precious+a first for Turner.

Pretty sure Cs value Brown quite high, however, I think this is probably fair value, if not an overpay.

I think Indy says no tho.

Maybe the worst trade I've seen for Brown yet. He's not available anyway.

11 Nov 2021 14:13:58
Nightcap, no offense, but your homerism is really shining through. Brown will never be more than a 2nd option on a championship team. Getting Brogdon, who is probably almost as good as Brown; Achiuwa, who has the potential to average a double double as a freaking point centre; and a first, is definitely enough if not too much for Brown.

11 Nov 2021 14:22:53
Pacers say **** NO.

11 Nov 2021 14:42:22
Darry it has nothing to do with what I think or what I would do. The thought that Boston would make that trade is absurd.

11 Nov 2021 15:27:43
So I guess Brogdon, Precious, and a first is oo much to give up for Simmons. Interesting.

11 Nov 2021 16:48:41
I'm all good with homerism. Nightcap follows his team and has an understanding of the direction management is taking. he evaluates trade proposals from that perspective. i think that's valuable input to others proposing trades because both sides need to be in agreement. none of us are GMs, so our opinions of how our team should build aren't really very useful. what does Daryl Morey want? what does Maisi Ujiri want? those are the questions to ask, not who does joe average fan want. fredman tries to do much the same for the Kings. Gasupo for the Pacers. most trade proposals on here pay no respect to what the management of either (or any) of the teams are trying to achieve.

11 Nov 2021 20:02:48
Not saying homerism is bad. I myself have had many instances of extreme Raptors-favoring trades.

And yeah, I think that is too much for Simmons. Brown = Simmons; or at least, it's close.

11 Nov 2021 21:35:10
If that's too much for Simmons, then Boston could acquire Simmons without trading Brown.

Smart, Rob Williams, Nesmith, 2 1sts >>> Brogdan, Precious, 1 1st.

It’s hard to actually know what your team wants Bc everything you hear or read is just rumors. You just have to watch and look closely on how your team is doing in each aspect of the game. Then you use your opinion on that to decide what you think your team needs.

NBA, remember the discussion we had about the Boston PGs when I said Schroder wasn't going to start, and you said are they really going to have those PGs coming off the bench? I told you I believed they were moving Dunn and an hour later he was gone. Boston is a small city and I am out and about quite a bit because of my work. I'm just your average nobody but I run into a lot of people and I hear some things sometimes. I don't mean I get anything concrete told to me, but I hear people talking once in a while.

12 Nov 2021 01:23:13
Schroeder averages 32 minutes.

There’s also a reason why the Celtics lack a playmaker. Bc Smart isn’t a PG and I told you shouldn’t be starting as the PG. Averages 4 apg in 35 mins lol.

12 Nov 2021 08:54:07
I'm not saying you're wrong and I'm not saying I disagree. That has nothing to do with what I'm telling you.

12 Nov 2021 10:10:35
I do think nightcap has a major boston bias and it often clouds his judgement . But yall sleeping on jb. he's an efficient 25 ppg scorer whose consistently improving and defends at a high level. I do however like towns for Boston but not jb for minnesota he's too similar to edwards in terms of offensive role.

It has nothing to do with how I view Brown or what I would do. If it were me, I'd trade anybody all day long. When is the last time a player like Jaylen Brown got traded? All star, still improving, just turned 25 with no issues. There are no attitude, salary cap, or injury concerns and he's an exemplary citizen. To pry a player like that away from a team, and it's not just Jaylen Brown, you have to overpay to get him. That's why, even if a trade looks like fair value, it's not realistic that it would happen. You have to give more to get a player like that, and most teams are not in the habit of doing that. Organizational continuity, chemistry, and bonds that have been built are also real things. There really isn't a realistic trade involving Jaylen Brown because guys like that just don't get traded. If people want to put him in trade proposals for a fun that's perfectly cool. Suddenly though, everybody is putting his name in these trade proposals and it's just not happening.
