I know some people think otherwise but Boucher and Hernangomez are both free agents at the end of the year and neither has any value.

Smart is a better defensive player than Vanfleet but Vanfleet is good. Vanfleet is a much better shooter and scorer, but for whatever reason, Boston is way better offensively when Smart is in the game. I'm not saying Smart is better or even just as good, but I am saying that their impact on their teams is closer than the difference that Rob Williams and a first round pick makes. Also keep in mind that Smart and Williams are both signed for 4 more years after this one at reasonable money. So that's correct, Boston says no.

To be clear, I’m a Celtics fan and if anyone would say no to this it would probably be the Raptors. Vanfleet is very good, one of the most underrated players in the league. He would fit in perfectly with Brown and Tatum.

I agree about Vanfleet, a very good player and Toronto may also say no. It's just a little too much for Boston to give up.

This is a pretty solid trade. Vanvleet would be a good fit next to Brown and Tatum. Raptors get great value in the form of young players and a pick to help their re-tool.

If it's great value for Toronto, that means it isn't for Boston and that's why they say no. I don't think Toronto is the team for Marcus smart anyway.
