Pelicans Celtics Trade:
Pelicans get: Tatum, Smart, Baynes, Clippers pick, Grizzlies pick, Celtics 2023 pick
Celtics get: Anthony Davis
This is the trade I feel is most likely, NOLA doesn't make them take Solomon Hill Contract. Also I think getting AD gets Kyrie to sign a one year max deal

Baynes would have to opt in, and he has a no trade clause this season not positive about his opt in deal next year. Joe B is right - those picks aren't good, a better 1 or 2 would need to be in the deal.

Trailblazers get: Jrue Holiday, Terrence JOnes, Cheick Diallo, Nuggets 2nd Round pick
--Pelicans may have to throw in a pick to the trailblazers. However, Jrue Holiday solves the Blazers backcourt defense. McCollum is way ebtter when he is the star guard. Has some James Harden in him?

Contract situation alone makes Portland never consider this. I'm not trading an undersized guard averaging 22 ppg and shooting 43% from 3 that's locked in for 5 years for an undersized guard averaging 14 ppg and 37% from deep that's an expiring deal.
Jrue is an ok defender, but probably falls off a cliff if you move him to SG.

McCollum is way more valuable than that. Pelicans would have to include their first unprotected to start the convo but I'm not sure that is enough especially with Holiday about to be a FA.

Really Billj? If you want a 23 year old top 10 player locked in for 5 years, you have to pay. I don't think Boston is giving up enough still in the original deal.
I just don't see any realistic deal that makes NO give up Davis. They'd want multiple all star caliber/ potential assets, plus give away garbage contracts. Crowder, Smart, and Johnson are role players. Brown certainly isn't making anyone think he could ever be a #1 option. And who knows where those nets picks land, especially since the nets have no motivation to tank.

I understand you have to give up a lot to acquire AD. But not the bank. Not both Net picks, sorry. Just because Ainge got a lot doesn't mean every deal has to be that way. The owners are making Ainge pay for that deal by making him eat every pick. 2107 Nets and 2018 Boston pick then ok but just not both Net picks.
