There is nothing that Houston has done in the last 2 months that would indicate that they have any interest in Vucevic, or any high salaried player for that matter. Why would you think they want him?

Based on Houston's trade with the Nets/ Pacers and knowledge of Houston's owner's financial hardship, this team is all about lowering their salaries (thus Oladipo's expiring instead of LaVert future salary) . They have no interest in adding future salary at the expense of expiring salary.

Which is weird to me because there’s a salary floor, and Levert doesn’t make that much. It’s not like this is baseball where you can slash your team salary to the bone and keep the difference.

But LaVert had 2 more years on his deal. Oladipo is an expiring that only costs $5 mil more this year. The only real future salary that Houston has is Wall, Gordon and Wood. And I would bet on Gordon being moved at the trade deadline for expiring deals and a pick.
