What value of Anfernee Simons?

I see Simons best role is probably something on par with the role Malik Monk has on Sacramento: High power 6th man. But at a salary north of $20 mil a season, it is really hard to justify that and thus there is not much trade value except to a contending team looking for offense off the bench. So value is probably a late first + "mildly" bad contract or Simons combined with players/ pick for "overpaid" quality starter.

I wouldn’t value Simons that low. 23yr old coming off a 21 & 4 season on 45/ 38 shooting. We’ve seen he can be an even better playmaker when he has the ball in his hands as well.

Simons = Terry Rozier. Ask yourself what you would give to Dd Terry Rizier to your team.

Maxey and Herro are much better comps. They’re all starting caliber guards a few years from their primes but not elite players.

I don’t think Monk is the same level of player, though he had a monster first round.

Rozier and Simons scoring and salaries are practically identical. The only difference is their ages.

Sorry, I just don't see Simons as a "starting caliber guard" on a playoff team, thus the 6th man role.
